cat nappin'

After a busy Christmas season, I've been taking a very slow and easy approach to the new year!  I haven't stopped blogging, but it's always harder to find interesting photography in the winter.  We've had a few light snows, never more than 2 inches.  I love seeing clear, defined snowflakes...

...winter interest with the remaining dead plants...

...and snow tracks, of course.

I've seen lots of rabbits searching for food.  They're easier to spot in the snow...

...than in the thaw!

Even the moles have been making appearances, in a way.  After a week of near-zero temperatures, somehow they were still able to tunnel through the frozen dirt for some fresh air!

We've got a (mated?) pair of coyotes living nearby.  We've been catching them on the trail cams...

I love it!  The trail cams are such a treat.

Meanwhile, inside, our wild animals are staying...busy?

Oh well...perfect for the doldrums of January.

Have a great week!
